Hydroquinone works by decreasing the number of melanocytes present, which are cells that produce pigment in the skin. This process helps lighten dark areas, making them less noticeable and giving the skin a more even appearance. It is used in various dermatological treatments for skin lightening under medical supervision.

Cleanse skin with a gentle cleanser before applying.

Apply sparingly to affected areas twice daily or as prescribed.

Use sunscreen to protect against increased sun sensitivity.

Limit treatment to a few weeks to prevent permanent skin darkening. Always follow your healthcare provider's advice.
